Buckle-up, gang, because the 8th annual OC Brew Ha Ha is upon us. In typical Brew Ha Ha Productions fashion, there will be over 90 breweries offering over 200 craft and imported brews, in a one-of-a-kind commemorative festival glass, with unlimited tastings. Tucked up in Oak Canyon, among trees, lakes and ponds, a natural canopy provides an abundance of shade, making for a pleasurable beer festival experience.
VIP packages are available, including a VIP + rare beers [here]. As always, Brew Ha Ha offers free water and soda to anyone who would like any. The Spazmatics and Groove Session will be performing, and there will be a cigar booth and lounge.
Two notable guest speakers will be in attendance. Anthony Chen, and “Sour Jim” Crooks. Chen is the Lead brewer and Brewing/Cellar Manager of Alesmith. His seven faithful years of service have been integral to AleSmith Brewing Company’s many accolades at Great American Beer Festival and being named the Top Brewery in the World by users of RateBeer.com on numerous occasions.
“Sour Jim” as he is often referred to, has been responsible for many of the exceptional sour beers we're all enjoying out of Firestone Walker's 'Barrel Works'. Jim has a degree in Food Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and began his career as Microbiologist at SLO Brewing Co. where in 2001 not only did SLO Brewing win a few Gold Medals but they won Brew Pub of the year at GABF.
The 8th annual OC Brew Ha Ha is one of our most highly anticipated events of the year. Cameron Collins and crew consistently bring it, and we don’t expect this year will be any different. BeerQwest looks forward to seeing everyone in Silverado, California, this Saturday, September 23rd. Cheers!
